Mr. Prabhu is a co-founder of Interstice Consulting and currently serves as the Managing Partner of the firm. Mr. Prabhu has consulted to a wide range of organizations on financial policies, corporate development, financing, strategy and privatization, in both developed and emerging markets.
His consulting practice focuses on accelerating international business expansion in Southeast Asia and Russia for technology-centric growth companies. He has been a featured speaker at several international conferences, including EDays Ecommerce (East-West Digital News), Retail Business Russia, Euromoney's Syndicated Lending in Russia & CIS, Emerging Trends in Real Estate, Canada-Russia Business Council, and Canada-Russia Roundtable on Corporate Social Responsibility and Public-Private Partnership. Mr. Prabhu has also delivered lectures at the Higher School of Economics, Moscow State University (MGU), Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO), and at the Investor Relations Institute, and is a member of the Independent Directors Association of Russia. He is a former Director of the Canada-Eurasia-Russia Business Association (CERBA).
During his prior careers, Mr. Prabhu has been a senior investment banker and project financier with the JPMorgan Chase, BankAmerica and PricewaterhouseCoopers organizations, with regional responsibility for Asia-Pacific and Central & Eastern Europe. During this time he arranged billions of dollars in financing for infrastructure and related industries and led transaction teams for several high-profile project finance advisory assignments and cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. He has also served as an independent consultant to the global banking sector, to emerging media and technology companies, and to international financial institutions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Prabhu practiced as a public accountant with Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young, and also worked in the public sector at Investment Canada, an agency of the Canadian government charged with attracting foreign direct investment.
Mr. Prabhu holds a B.Com in accounting and finance from McGill University (Great Distinction), where he was a James McGill Scholar and was awarded the graduating medal in Finance. He holds a Master's degree in Management from the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. Mr. Prabhu has also earned a Certificate in E-Commerce Business Development from New York University, is a qualified Chartered Accountant in Canada and Certified Public Accountant in the USA, and has undertaken Russian language training at Moscow State University (Lomonosov).
