Ms. Kennedy is an International Business Practice Leader for Interstice Consulting. Ms. Kennedy has consulted on a variety of international business issues including complex multi-national business structures, mergers and acquisitions, international tax strategies, global VAT liability and minimization, tax efficient business divestments, tax holidays, strategies to reduce import-export duties, global expansion, and e-commerce business strategies. Ms. Kennedy also has significant experience taking companies public, both initial and secondary offerings, as well as, preparing companies to raise capital through private placements. Ms. Kennedy has served as General Counsel for a multinational company based in Toronto, Canada, as a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a Professor of Law at the University of Liverpool, Cayman Islands Law School and Western State University School of Law, and currently sits as a Director on the Board of a number of US and foreign companies.
Ms. Kennedy is frequently called upon to speak at technology industry events on global e-commerce distribution models, barriers to market entry, and international taxation of e-commerce transactions. She has published a number of papers on electronic software distribution and e-commerce transactions, and has been a lecturer in Agency & Partnership, Corporate, Contracts, and International Taxation law at universities within the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Ms. Kennedy has attained a high level of academic achievement: B.A. Economics, United States International University; J.D., Cum Laude, University of Baltimore School of Law; LL.M., International Law (Honours), University of Cambridge, England.
